Responsibilities:

• Should have experience in system configurations and installations
• Should maintain the essentials such as operating systems, business applications, security
tools, web-servers, email, PCs, local and wide area networking both hardware and software and mid-range server.
• Coordinate with Vendors for problem resolution
• Manage network servers and technology tools
• Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
• Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
• Provision and manage cloud-based services.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and writing)
• Service oriented approach to work.

Required Skills:

• Install and configure software and hardware (L1 L2 Desktop/Laptop , Voice and Internet systems)
• Set up user accounts, workstations, manage hardware and software inventory
• Upgrade systems with new releases and models
• Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
• Troubleshoot issues and outages
• Ensure security issues through access controls, backups and firewalls
• Maintain the internal technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
• Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
• Familiarity with troubleshooting on various operating systems and platforms (Windows, Linux)
• Manage MySQL databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.

• Check and ensure that the backups taken as per the backup policy are successful and are of usable quality.

Qualification:

• Diploma / B.Sc. in Information Technology / Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar rolewith minimum 1 year of experience
• Professional Certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is aplus.
